Discount Code Rule

Asked by: Shanice 1247 views , , ,

Hi there, trying to create a discount code where if a customer has 2 or more items in their basket, they will get 30% off the most expensive, i.e buy one, get 30% off the most expensicve in your cart.

Any help will be much appreciated as have been researching the net after trying various conditions to no avail. Thanks

Hi Shanice – I don’t think there is a way to do this exactly out of the box – though a custom implementation is always possible.

You can get very close though by creating a coupon code that will add 30% discount but is limited to only a single product and will kick in when there are 2 or more products on the cart. In this case it will apply 30% off to the first product added as soon as a second product is added to the cart.

There are many other possible scenarios but at the end of the day I think it’s probably best to stick with simpler promotions that are easier for customers to understand and easier for you to promote, setup, manage, etc…

I hope you find this helpful in some ways!!
